Yes. We want your day to be customized to meet your needs and make your Event memorable. If you are interested in renting our décor, we are happy to show you our options on your tour. Excessive glitter, confetti, or other hard to clean décor is prohibited. No nails, screws, staples, or penetrating items may be used on the premises. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be removed by the renter without damaging paint or other surfaces. Any wall damage will be deducted from the security deposit. A decorator service fee is available if you would prefer we decorate for you.

  • We are committed to ensuring your guests enjoy their experience during the event while consuming a safe amount of alcohol. Onsite bartenders and servers are required to serve responsibly. Please be aware that we reserve the right to refrain from serving anyone who is intoxicated. There are a few options if you are providing alcohol at your event.
    • Option1: If you are providing beer, wine & liquor you must have a bartending service with a valid offsite 3-way liquor license. We will need a copy of the license & liquor liability insurance 14 days prior to event. We have a list of eligible providers if you need.
    • Option 2: If you are providing beer & wine only, you are required to have a one-day beer & wine permit from the State. We will need a copy of the license & liquor liability insurance 14 days prior to event.https://forms.in.gov/Download.aspx?id=10578

Contact us to confirm availability. A non-refundable Hold Date deposit and a signed contract required to confirm your event. Remaining rental fees due 14 days prior to your event.

Yes there is an initial Non-refundable booking deposit, and a refundable security deposit. The Security deposit check is required 14 days prior to your event and will be returned to you within 7 days of your event if no damage is found.

Tables, chairs, linens up to room capacity. Wi-Fi access. TVs and Projector with screen. Dressing rooms available for additional fees. Caterer kitchen available for prep & storage only.

The Forge has multiple spaces available depending on your needs. The Forge Bar has a capacity up to 50, the Ballroom has a capacity up to 100, The Anvil room has a capacity of up to 100, and the Blacksmith’s Balcony has a capacity of up to 30.

Yes, we have an elevator that leads to the 2nd floor level and a handicap accessible restroom.

Free Downtown parking is available M-F after 5 (3 hour max M-F 8-5) and Sat-Sun all day. There are some spaces on 4th St right in front of the Venue. The parking garage on 4th & Jackson is 2 blocks away. There are also additional parking lots on 4th St that are free after 5 and on weekends within 1-3 blocks from the venue.

  • Yes, event insurance is required. Special Event Liability Insurance is required for all renters of the property.  This insurance can be arranged through the renter’s homeowner’s insurance policy. The insurance must, at the renter’s expense, provide and maintain public liability and personal property damage insurance, insuring Forge’s property damage, personal injury and other loss arising out of renter’s use and occupancy of the premises, or any other occupant on the premises, including appurtenances to the premises and sidewalks. The insurance required hereunder shall have a single limit liability of not less than $1 million, and general aggregate liability of not less than $2 million. The Forge on 4th LLC & and CGKA Properties LLC shall be named as an additional insured of said policy at address 418 4th St Columbus, IN 47201.
  • *If alcohol is to be served, please make sure that the policy includes Host Liquor Liability coverage to protect you against alcohol-related accidents, as you are ultimately liable for the safety of your guests.
  • *Any caterers and/or bartenders, companies, and/or institutions MUST provide a copy of the Certificate of Insurance and Catering License to The Forge 14 days prior to event.

Yes, we do have a list of preferred venders. A Caterers kitchen is available for prep & storage, no cooking will be done on premises. You are allowed to provide your own food if you do not choose to use a caterer.
